HELPING THERAPISTS EMBRACE THEIR WHOLE SELVES

You’re a therapist juggling the weight of your work, struggling to feel fully seen and understood.

Maybe you’ve been holding back to protect yourself, navigating the expectations placed on you by both your clients and the world.

Here, you don’t have to hold back anymore. This space was created just for you—with love, appreciation, and a deep understanding of who you are and the meaningful work you do.

As a therapist myself, I know your profession isn’t just about techniques or modalities—it’s a calling to support and hold space for others. And I recognize how hard it can be to balance your personal and professional worlds.

If you feel disconnected or overly compartmentalized, I’m here to help.

You deserve to have a personal therapist that respects your knowledge as a colleague and a client.

Before my training as a therapist, I already knew that I had a certain way with people.

GET TO KNOW KIM!

In stores, on planes, at my part time jobs, everyone would tell me their life story and seek my perspective. So it made sense to become trained even further in what was already a natural skill. My colleagues used to tease me because they knew that the person I’d just spoken with had shared what was on their heart in the short 5 minutes that we'd chatted.

I’ve always seen serving clients as a therapist as an incredible honour built on the creation of a sacred trust with clients, but I also extend that into my personal world with family, friends & self. Which is why when I ended up with vicarious trauma after working in a non-profit setting for almost 10 years with clients in active trauma, I knew that something was off with my relationship with myself. I wasn’t holding myself in my own sacred trust.

Through my healing journey, my client focus had to change, the hours I practiced needed to change & I learned so much about how the human we are affects the way we serve. But it was in having interactions with other therapy practitioners that I hired at the time, that gave me the biggest insight.

One therapist saw me as a special project client because she had always “wanted to work with someone like me”. So I ran. Another told me in one session that I wasn’t allowing myself to be emotional enough, and in the very next session while I was crying, told me I needed more emotional regulation. So I stopped attending. I thought it was me that was the issue & I needed to do more work.

a hand on an open book

When I had therapists coming to me as clients & supervisees, things started to crystalize. I wasn’t alone as a therapist hiding from therapists because they didn’t get me.

This was a thing that my colleagues and therapist friends began expressing more and more as I asked about their experiences in therapy. We were all hiding from our therapists in sessions, because our therapists were not seeing us as our whole selves, as clients & therapists.

They saw themselves as the experts rather than honouring our wisdom & experience. We needed a different kind of therapist than the mainstream. So I’ve made it my mission to be that therapist in our industry who prioritizes supporting the wisdom within therapists seeking to do their personal work.
